Working to aid less fortunate individuals across the globe

We would like to take this time to highlight some of the wonderful partners we have along with their initiatives:

World Vision - Building a better world for children

SchoolTools Program

http://www.worldvision.org

Millions of children living in poverty miss out on the chance for an education simply because they can’t pay for the essential supplies that go hand-in-hand with learning. That’s why World Vision created SchoolTools — a program that inspires hope in children by providing them with the valuable school materials they so desperately need. SchoolTools collects kits of specific school supplies made by individuals, groups and organizations and delivers them to needy children who wouldn’t be able to attend class without them. You can make a difference!

Feed the Children

Homeless Education and Literacy Program

Through a partnership with The National Association of Homeless Children and Youth (NAEHCY) and Kits for Kidz, Feed the Children has distributed backpacks filled with school supplies, snacks food, children’s books and personal care items to homeless students in public schools in all 50 states. In the past 10 years, Feed the Children has distributed over 900,000 backpacks and plans to distribute another 65,000 in the ’16-’17 school year.

Kids In Need Foundation

The Kids In Need Foundation’s mission is to ensure that every child is prepared to learn and succeed by providing free school supplies nationally to the students most in need. Kids In Need Resource Centers provide free school supplies to impoverished students and under-funded teachers at locations throughout the US. Resource Centers serve an estimated 1.5 million students and more than 100,000 teachers. More than $300 million worth of school supplies have been distributed by the program.

Back to School Illinois

Back 2 School Illinois, a 501c3 nonprofit, has three main programs; one that provides college scholarships, a Power Up! Boot camp, which teaches children about the importance of exercise and nutrition and the largest program, which distributes free school supplies to children from low-income families.

In 2014, Back 2 School Illinois, in partnership with a number of community organizations, distributed 28,000 kits filled with school supplies, so children would have the tools they need to succeed in the classroom. While the Back 2 School program is the largest of it’s kind in Illinois, there are almost a million children in the state that could use our help. Please consider making a contribution to our efforts so we can continue to provide relief to families in need.
